Whimpering Elation

Whimperin Elation
©2009, CL.

Slowly sensing my feet get sturdier
With desires of not ambling by
But rushing and running

Scampering away to the lonely cave
To the preceding place I could be found
Where the last creature will get to

With two eyes that continue to dry
And my gut, a gut full of rant and rave
No wretchedness, no devotion, just wish
Just aspiration for some kind of elation

Apprehend me with nothing but serenity
On the contrary just leave me to decay
With this gradually strenuous pantomime
My soul whimpers its respite
